Girdy’s America.

Friday, May 18th, 2007 by admiral

I am a big fan of the real labor force in this world. People around here sell their labor to the highest bidder and do an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay. From the mothers who provide a future for this world, teaching children to read, write and think for themselves before sending them out into the world to the miners who labor in the darkness beneath the surface of the Earth. These are the people who provide the comfort and sustenance for the rest of us. Without them, where would the rest of us be?

When I can get jobs, I work on computers. I also write these tirades as companion pieces for Joel’s artwork. I’ve done manual labor in the past and have no problem with it. It makes sense to respect the manual laborers because they provide for us what we would otherwise have to do for ourselves.

I never call employees ‘workers.’ Workers are units of labor on the central planning bureau’s spreadsheets. Employees are real people who sell their labor to the highest bidder as they see fit. What employees own is owned in workers. A workman is worthy of his meat.

Stepping out of stand up philosopher mode, I will write that this is what the Girdy-Herman ticket stands for. Girdy knows that life is hard enough out there without all this politics stuff getting in your way. That is why he teamed with Herman to run against every other candidate on the ballot. When you stayed away from the polls, you elected Girdy and Herman to rule your world.

Whatever Girdy does with your future, be sure that he will not bother you to make you aware of it. Do you really want to know half of what you do know? If so, then turn it around and look at the other half. Trust Girdy-Herman. You did not vote for them so why should you care what they do?
