Double You Tea Eff
Wednesday, January 10th, 2007 by joel So first off, my graphics card went up. I knew it was going to, you know? The tell-tale random pixels of discoloration had already begun to appear in spots on my screen. So there I am without a functional computer and I thought to myself, “I have most of a functional computer sitting in a cabinet waiting to be constructed, now might be a good time to do that.” So I did. New computer is a sweet piece of machinery. I can finally play those games that came out two years ago that I only now have the graphical capacity to handle.
Yeah, and sorry about Eightballs. I feel obligated to explain. Eightballs was the immediate precursor to Secrets. Not that the two have anything to do with one another, but it was my first attempt at a webcomic. The idea and characterization were sound enough, even intriguing, but I have a lot to learn about webcomics and art in general at the time, and I am fairly sure you noticed that.
But I am back with the further adventures of some college students and various vermin they hang with in the strange, strange land of Mulligan College. I brought a little something else back with me, too. West Wheel Carols.
So let me tell you how this works. West Wheel Carols is a site devoted entirely to my inexplicable fascination with Westerns. I know that may not sound terribly exciting to you, and I have no idea how I would sell this to you. I was never the slightest bit interested in Westerns until the very end of my college years. Well, except for that brief period when I was about eight and I went running around dressed like the Lone Ranger. But that is history best left unexplored. The end of the story is that now I’m writing a stinking Western novel, which, I gotta tell you, is rough.
I comfort myself for my slow pace on the book by spending WAY too much time doodling cowboys where, embarrassingly, everyone can see me. So now you can too.
Seriously, though, Rando, the featured character in our first story, is pretty kick-butt (PG, people, PG). Originally I came up with his character on a whim, too. Now he’s an integral part of the story. Life. Go figure.
Okay, well, I believe I’ve said everything I set out to say

Finally! Mulligan College adventures! Just in time for classes to start again at the famously spoofed college inherently just mentioned. Wow, I’m excited. So when do I get a cameo appearance?
