Secrets of the Future
Friday, January 5th, 2007 by admiralAs I write this, Secrets of the Universe is working on new content for the site. We are expecting to work on a new section over this weekend. The problem is that I cannot tell you what it is all about. After all, this is a site of secrets and I have, in the past, written too much.
I could tell you about my own projects. I’ve got at least half a dozen files on my hard drive that only await my creative muse. The latest of them was started less than a week ago, so I’m not tired of working on it yet. However, I do not think that you would really care about that. You did not come to the Secrets of the Universe site to read about my projects.
We have been writing on the Never Ending story part of the community attached to the Secrets of the Universe. I could tell you about those two series and remain on topic for a change. Just remember that none of those stories has anything to do with the new section that Joel is working on for this site. In fact, if you join the community, you can become a contributor to any of those stories.
“The Birth of Heroes” is active right now. I created the villain for this one. The story has been stalled for the Christmas season, but that is to be expected. This will give you time to catch up on the text before it gets too long. Our goal was to use the characters from the strip here in a world that has just discovered superheroes.
Elseworld was designed as a world of abandoned dreams. It has been active recently, and I created a villain for this story as well. This is not a story that I expect to do much writing on. Whenever possible, I wed myself to a single story until I get somewhere with it. That is the only way that people like me ever finish anything.
But, I still haven’t told you what we’re working on over this weekend. You will have to check back Monday to see what I am writing about. God willing, we will get the project finished by then. The great and powerful Joel has decided that he should write the introductory tirade for that new section. Let us then see what Monday brings.
