This is the last publication date for this site in the year of our Lord, 2006. When the next panel in the comic comes online, we will be in the year 2007. In fact, the next publication date for “The Secrets of the Universe” is the first day of 2007. From here, we can look forward or we can look back.

The site was redesigned in the past year. Even the message board, called the community in the link on this page, was updated with a fresh look and updated features. Although it is not faster for me personally, maintaining this site is easier now. We have been going to press regularly and I have been writing most of the tirades for the site.

What can you expect in the new year? Since I run an online magazine of my own, I can tell you that the hardest thing to get for a website like this is content. I’ve only had the time to post my tirades from here into Pariah Online Magazine. Content is what you can expect from Secrets of the Universe over the next year.

Although Eightballs itself is unlikely to get additional episodes on this site, some of the backstory may work its way into the comic featured here. We will get back to that comic with the first month of the new year. People are already calling for another Quiver story to appear here. I also have it on good authority that Joel is working on something extra for this site. You will have to wait, or bribe Joel, to find out what that is.

Over the past month, I did something very stupid. I can hear you asking when I ever did something that was not stupid. In case you get around to asking what I did, I went looking into a memory that I had erased many years ago. After all this time, I located a picture of the first crush that I ever had.

What does that have to do with this site and the entry into the year 2007? I’ve been reflecting on my past and that always puts me into a writing mood. In the event that you get a chance to visit the community, you may find me writing something more than tirades. Here, I am only the resident stand up philosopher. When I write, I am also a dreamer of dreams that even I had forgotten about.

Even I will be contributing content in the new year. I have a stack of unused ideas sitting on my personal hard drive and it would feel good to get something online after all this time. With all the artists that I spend time with, I have been the slacker in the bunch. So, look for content as our contribution to the world wide web in 2007.
