Blame the Roaches!

There is a logical reason behind why there was no new comic on Friday or yesterday. It was Herman and his band of cockroaches who decided to migrate to Maryland to find their old pal Joel and invade his computer. They figured it would work as a good living space for the extended colony where they wouldn’t scare anyone as of yet, but it would still allow them to interact with their friend Joel.
However, after a full month of occupation, the habits of the cockroach colony wreaked havoc on the components of Joel’s computer.
So it is with much sorrow, I must report that Joel’s computer has died. Thus he cannot create and upload any new comics for your enjoyment until he gets a new computer.
If you would like to donate funds to help Joel restore his computer, and thus his ability to create and upload more comics for your pleasure, you may contribute by buying more Secrets stuff (click on Store in the header bar above).
However, Joel estimates that it should take approximately two weeks before he will be up and running again. Please be patient during this long and tediously boring process of waiting. I know, it is a hard thing to do. But remember what your mother always told you, “Patience is a virtue.” If you need more Secrets comics to whet your appetite, I might post a few classic comics, just to keep the site in tip top condition.
As for the cockroaches, Joel has reported that the extended colony is still living in the old computer, and they hope to eventually build a super-weapon in order to rule the world out of the dead computer parts, some stale pizza, and sour milk.
