Blockbuster Plot!

Yes, I know, I keep mentioning it. I’m not getting paid for it, so I figure that gives me to the right to rub it in people’s faces. If you think I am wrong, WHO ASKED YOU?
Ahem. Anyways. People who frequent and also read the message board, ignore this next little bit. You’ve heard it before, and there is the distinct possibility that I cut and pasted it. I checked with Admiral Coeyman and he said it was perfectly alright to repeat myself and to lack originality. And since I am paying him to be my scapegoat, feel free to blame him.
Fun Fact: When a child is first born, their eyes are underdeveloped to the extent that their field of vision is roughly six inches from their face, the perfect distance for viewing Mom or whoever happens to hold them. Additionally, infants respond most intensely to people’s faces. Also, when looking at random, everyday objects, people will find resemblances to human faces in anything they possibly can. Finally, when observing animals or even inanimate objects, people will tend to assign human characteristics to them. Conclusion: people are inexorably drawn to other people. Therefore character-driven plot lines will always be the most compelling. Of course in adulthood, character driven plot that also involves lots of promiscuity is even MORE compelling, apparently.
Certain children’s networks capitalized on this by making their narrator and segue way guy a big talking face: Annoying. Yet effective.
After so much poor, ill-conceited writing over the years, I still feel this compulsion for a closing sentence summing up the point of the body. So here it is: Character driven plot good. Idea driven plot, boring.
