Into the Sunset

Wednesday, May 25th, 2005 by joel

I used to go to a school that was almost directly east of where I lived. So that every morning, I would drive eastward into the rising sun, and every evening I would drive westward into the setting sun. The sun blinded me for two hours a day, five days a week, 36 weeks out of the year. That was annoying, you know?
Wow. The quality of these articles is dropping like icicles on a windy day after one of those freezing rains that leaves icicles hanging in tree branches and off telephone wires all over the place. But apparently as my articles are getting shorter and less substantial, my analogies are getting longer and more substantial. Or was that a simile? No, I guess a simile is more of a this is to this as that is to that. So I would have to say ‘articles are to quality as wind is to icicles.’ Except I am not entirely sure that one follows.
So I guess in conclusion… I will simply stop writing.
