OH YEAH!
Monday, December 22nd, 2003 by joelOK, I gotta rant and rave about something I did on
Tuesday 16th.? The day shall forever be known as Trilogy Tuesday.?
I saw Lord Of The Rings, Fellowship of the Ring, Lord of the Rings, The
Two Towers and Lord of the Rings, The Return of the King all in one day.?
Yet another factor to throw in, FR and TT were the Extended Versions!?
If you have not seen the Extended Version of TT, I highly recommend you
see it prior to see RK.? ‘Nuff said.
I saw RK
at 11pm ET.? So I think that beats any midnight showing anywhere in
the country.?
I think also that it is very helpful to watch all
three movies at one sitting.? The impressiveness of the entire
program was simply outstanding.? Peter Jackson and his life partner
Fran along with another friend, did a most excellent job of working the
entire series into movie format!
I was not
disappointed with the movies.? The only bad thing is, they are so
long that when you finish your 59oz drink from the concession stand and
you have to go to the restroom by the time the fellowship is just
forming in FR, you gotta long way to hold it if you do not want to miss
any of the scenes.?
So, what did I get for my 25bucks?? I got to
see two of the three movies in Extended Version in the theater.? I
got to see the third movie before most people in this country.? I
got a really cool All Day Pass badge.? My Ticket for the marathon
remains in tact.? They did not tear the tickets!? They just
put it in the back of the badge.? And, at the end of RK, everyone
got a “The Lord of the Rings Film Frame Collectible”.? It has one
frame of film from all three movies in a really cool looking stand.
