On Plot Development and the New Style
Monday, December 15th, 2003 by joelGirdy tells me that his core population does not
accept the presence of ?Aaron’ in the comic strip.? Apparently Aaron
confuses them, or he’s just not funny or something.? I didn’t get a
clear idea of exactly what he meant.? I asked him to send me his
detailed findings including the statistics charted on a graph with the
outliers and a 0.5 margin of error; also, the findings from his control
population.? Girdy isn’t as committed to the strip as he seems.
To those of you confused, befuddled, ?not amused,
or disgusted by Aaron, I have two things to say.? The first is: relax,
he won’t show up in the strip THAT much.? The second is that Aaron, like
it or don’t, is part of the PROGRESSIVE PLOTLINE of
the comic strip.? Yes, I know it reads like a joke-a-day type of comic.?
Nevertheless if you pay close attention to it, there is an underlying
plot that is being revealed slowly but surely.? Aaron is a key
ingredient in that plotline.? I make no apologies.
Okay, that being said, you may have noticed that
the last couple of strips have looked a bit different than the usual
four-panel cartoony affair.? I have my reasons.? Please forgive it if it
doesn’t look great.? Its my website, and I am playing around with the
format.? As with most of the web-art I have worked on, it will get
better with time.? Expect the regular format to return.
